Something For The Weekend: Fri 13 – Sun 15 September

1. The Comedy Network – Sun 15 September

The Lowry launches its very own monthly comedy club – a chance to see tomorrow’s stars before they’re famous.

Within the last few years the Lowry Studio has launched the careers of people like Micky Flanagan, John Bishop and Russell Howard.

Round off your weekend with a drink in the bar and join regular host Hayley Ellis as she introduces some of the brightest new stars in the comedy firmament, this month Gareth Richards and Lucy Beaumont.

2. The Boy Who Kicked Pigs – Sat 14 September

Originally part of The Lowry’s ‘Developed With’ programme, The Boy Who Kicked Pigs enjoyed a sell-out run in our Studio Theatre in June 2012. Now it’s back, bigger and better, for one night only.

3. My Generation: The Glory Years of British Rock – finishes Sun 15 September

As Top of the Pops resident photographer from 1964 – 1973, Harry Goodwin documented some of the most important musical stars and performances of this crucial time in rock history. This is your last chance to see the exhibition, featuring almost 60 framed photographs including Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and The Supremes.
