2. Cirque Berserk – Fri 24 – Sat 25 Jan

Direct from three sold-out seasons in London’s Hyde Park, Cirque Beserk bring their death-defying feats to The Lowry on their first nationwide theatre tour.

Featuring the world’s most dangerous circus act – the legendary motorcycle Globe of Death – this thrill-packed show also includes jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, musicians and stunt men, plus Guinness record-holding strong man Hercules and award-winning clown Tweedy.

Combining cirque style skills and artistry with all the thrills, spills and laughs of the traditional big top, Cirque Berserk is a fun-filled spectacle that will delight audiences of all ages.

3. Warren James and His Skiffle Sessions Band – Sun 26 Jan

Mighty and powerful, that’s the Warren James brand of turbo-charged folk, country-blues, gospel and jazz – a genre that he calls ‘Skiffle’ – is proving to be the most exciting act of the year at global music events. Along with his awesome band, James, the rousing and addictively exuberant folk-rocker sends the very best of Americana roots music, along with his audience, soaring to new heights.
