Join the BBC Philharmonic Family Orchestra and Chorus

The BBC Philharmonic is looking for music-lovers to join our Salford Family Orchestra & Chorus for a celebratory performance at The Bridgewater Hall on 21st June to mark the project’s 5th birthday.

The performance will be part of the BBC Philharmonic Family Concert, featuring a programme of well-known classics, including ‘Midnight’ from Prokofiev’s ballet Cinderella, and presented by BBC Children’s TV Presenter Chris Jarvis.

We are seeking enthusiastic musicians and their families, who live or work in Salford (which qualifies all MediaCityUK staff!), to come together and have the chance at making music as a group.

Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced players, whether you’re aged 8 or 88. Whatever instrument you play at whatever level, you can join in. Whether you sing, or play triangle, tabla or any orchestral instrument come and join us!

You will need to be able to commit to a schedule of five rehearsals starting on Sunday 18 May and the final concert – more details and an application form can be found on the BBC Philharmonic website: (click ‘Apply Now’ in one of the events).
