This month over a hundred Salford families made their first trip to The Lowry to see the family show Stickman in the Quays Theatre. The families are part of ‘Our First Lowry’ which is a free Lowry scheme and designed to give families living in Salford their first opportunity to see theatre at The Lowry.
As a member of the scheme families are invited to take part in three supported visits to The Lowry. Stickman was the first on the list with further visits including a trip to see The Scarecrows Wedding and a Christmas Show in the Studio Theatre.
For this first visit families received free transport to and from the theatre, lunch in the Quays Bar and free tickets to see Stickman. The families also had the opportunity to explore The Lowry building and visit The Lowry galleries including The Lookout, a dedicated creative space for families.
Members of the scheme were also enrolled onto the ‘Our Lowry’ scheme which offers a range of exclusive offers for all family members, from discounts to free tickets for theatre and activity sessions, and exhibition preview days.
The ‘Our Lowry’ scheme is open to all Salford residents, visit www.thelowry.com for more information.
