Many of the productions we present at The Lowry throughout the year are based on a book. But what better day to draw attention to this than WORLD BOOK DAY 2016!
People across the world, young and old, will be celebrating the delightful joys that come from the written word on paper. Or in most cases today, a tablet. And we’d like to join in the fun by highlighting what fantastic productions have come from a book at The Lowry over the next few months.

Roald Dahl’s scariest book is brought to life in a tremendously terrifying treat for the whole family.
Witches absolutely detest children. They want to squish them and squiggle them and make them disappear. But one brave young boy and his grandmother have a plan to get rid of the witches for good… if only they can avoid being turned into mice.
The Witches features a hugely talented cast of actor-musicians, original music and mind-boggling illusions!
The Cat in the Hat
