At The Lowry we’ve been lucky to see some fantastic productions from the National Theatre over the years – ranging from Hedda Gabler and Macbeth – to Jane Eyre and One Man Two Guvnors which have been screened by NT Live over the last two weeks.
The NT takes its role as the NATIONAL Theatre very seriously – and produces a broad range of work for audiences of all ages and tastes.
This weeks live screening is one of their most accessible family productions – perfect for children aged 10 or over – a rollicking production of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island that was their Christmas show a few years ago – and was revived last year for a West End run. This new stage adaptation was written by Bryony Lavery who’s work has featured regularly at the Lowry over the years – most recently with last year’s Lovely Bones and Pilot Theatre’s brilliant adaptation of Brighton Rock.
Sit back and enjoy the show – and spend the rest of the week talking like a Pirate….!
Available from 7pm on Thu 16 April.
